Outside the Office
Dr. Hilliard was born in Orlando, FL, and moved to Lakeland with his wife, Ann, in 1975. Ann has had an important and much appreciated role in his practice. They have a daughter, Jami, who is a nurse at Lakeland Regional Hospital. She is married to Frank, and they have given Dr. Hilliard two grandchildren, Sandy and Susan. Dr. Hilliard’s son, Jackson, is an attorney, practicing in Saint Petersburg. Of course, Dr. Hilliard’s home wouldn’t be complete without Lucy, his friendly and playful Shih Tzu.
Dr. Hilliard enjoys photography, especially taking pictures of landscapes, seaside scenery, and architecture. Occasionally, he gets to fish in intercoastal areas and the ocean. He also takes golf lessons to improve his game, which will not be much of a challenge as it is practically non-existent at this time. Evidently, a handicap of 50 doesn’t get you many offers to play a round!
